Peter Wu started their work experience in 1992 as a Senior Accountant at Arthur Andersen. Peter then moved on to HP in 1998, where they worked as a Senior Financial Analyst. In 1999, they joined Lasalle Investment Management as an Associate. In 2001, they joined Wind River as Vice President of Finance, where they managed various responsibilities such as financial planning and analysis, management reporting, mergers and acquisitions, and treasury. Peter also led the AOP process for 7 years.
In 2012, Peter Wu joined Polycom as Vice President of Finance, Worldwide Sales and Services. Peter was responsible for forecasting worldwide product and services revenue, managing worldwide sales expense, and forecasting worldwide services P&L. Peter led weekly forecast calls for the CEO with Theater Presidents and played a key role in driving revenue growth and increased EBITDA. In 2015, Wu took on the role of Vice President, Worldwide Finance at Polycom, leading a large finance and sales operations team and playing a crucial role in the integration efforts for a $2B transaction with Plantronics.
Most recently, in 2019, Peter Wu became the Vice President of Finance at Carbon, a unicorn start-up backed by Sequoia. Peter is responsible for financial management and played a role in a successful Series E financing round with a valuation of $2.4B.
Peter Wu has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Economics at UCLA. No specific start or end years are provided for either of their educational experiences.
