Steve Lee has a diverse work experience. Steve is currently working as a Senior Cloud Engineer at Carbon60 since December 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Slalom as a Senior Consultant, Technology Enablement from September 2021 to December 2021. Before Slalom, Steve worked at Onica, a Rackspace Technology Company, where they held roles of Senior Cloud Engineer from April 2021 to September 2021 and Cloud Engineer from August 2020 to March 2021.
Further in their career, Steve worked at Central 1, starting as a Software Specialist 1 from June 2013 to August 2014, followed by Software Specialist 2 from September 2014 to July 2019, and finally as a DevOps Engineer 3 from July 2019 to July 2020.
Prior to Central 1, Steve worked at Schneider Electric as a Software Analyst from December 2012 to February 2013. Steve also has research and student experience at Stanford University, where they developed a Java-based auction website and implemented a teacher-to-student interface for managing attendance, performance, and quizzes/exams during the summer of 2012.
In the early stages of their career, Steve worked as a Laboratory Analyst at ALS Environmental from September 2011 to January 2012. Steve also served as a Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo and the University of British Columbia, contributing to various research projects.
Additionally, Steve worked as a Residence Computer Consultant at the University of Waterloo, where they fixed networking problems and resolved virus infections from September 2006 to January 2007.
Steve Lee completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Honours Computational Science with a Biochemistry Specialization at the University of Waterloo from 2006 to 2011. In 2012, they were a visiting student at Stanford University, focusing on Computer Science. Additionally, they obtained various certifications, including the Lacework Shield Academy certifications in Cloud Security Assessment, Tech Enablement - Level 2, and Seller Enablement - Level 1 from Lacework in November 2022. Steve also obtained a Lean Six Sigma White Belt (Lean 101) certification in 2016. In 2015, they completed a Certificate in Introduction to Project Management from the University of Waterloo. Furthermore, they achieved the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification and the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in April 2019.
