Erik Nielson's work experience starts in 2010 as a Laboratory Technician at the University of Guelph, where they focused on researching small molecule transport proteins. Erik then joined iProgen Biotech Inc in 2014 as the Cloning Department Lead, where they managed a research project and a team while developing synthetic transcription factors and CRISPR/Cas9 constructs. In 2016, they joined STEMCELL Technologies as a Product and Scientific Support Specialist, handling product inquiries and providing technical support. In 2018, Erik became a Key Account Manager at VWR, part of Avantor, and in 2019, they moved to Promega Corporation in the same role. Currently, Erik is a Product Manager Field Applications at CarboNet, responsible for supporting new and existing products throughout their lifecycle.
Erik Nielson began their education at Western University in 2006, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. Erik completed this degree in 2007. Following that, they attended the University of Guelph from 2007 to 2010, earning a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Genetics. In 2011, Erik enrolled in The University of British Columbia, ultimately completing their Master of Science in Microbiology and Immunology in 2014.
