Sebastian Manhart

Sebastian Manhart is a seasoned professional specializing in carbon removal and policy strategy. Currently serving as a Senior Policy Advisor at Carbonfuture since October 2022, Sebastian is also the Chair of the Board for the Deutscher Verein für negative Emissionen e.V., where collaborative efforts are aimed at advancing carbon dioxide removal policies in Germany. As a co-founder of CDRjobs, Sebastian supports career development in the carbon dioxide removal sector. Additional roles include Board Member at the International Biochar Initiative, Senior Fellow at the Institute for Carbon Removal Law and Policy, Thought Leader at illuminem, and Founding Board Member of the U.S. Biochar Coalition. Previous experience includes a Technical Consultant position at The World Bank and advising roles within Angela Merkel's German Federal Chancellery.
