Matthew Raeside

Matthew Raeside serves as a Director in Principal Investments & Strategic Ventures at UBS, a position held since October 2019, previously advancing from Associate Director and participating in the Ex-Forces Associate Programme. Additionally, Matthew contributes as a Board Guest at MerQube and as a Board Director/Alternate at Carbonplace. Prior to these roles, experience in the Royal Navy from February 2014 to September 2019 included being an Advanced Air Warfare Instructor, providing specialized consultancy and command assessment, as well as training Junior Officers in fighter control. Matthew earned a prestigious international qualification in live aircraft control, leading a specialized team through operational deployments. Educational qualifications include a degree from the University of St Andrews in Modern History and Philosophy, along with certifications from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment in client dealing and financial derivatives.
