Maggie's freelance writing career spans from June 2006 to February 2016, with publications in outlets like Discover and Popular Science. Notable accomplishments include a Nieman Fellowship at Harvard University, serving as a columnist for The New York Times Magazine, and publishing the book "Before The Lights Go Out," focusing on the American electric grid. Maggie holds a BA and BS from The University of Kansas in Anthropology and Journalism.
