Biology Lecturer & Learning Area Lead For STEM (a-levels & Btecs) at Cardiff and Vale College

Cari Rees has a diverse work experience. In 2018, they joined Cardiff and Vale College as a Biology Lecturer & Learning Area Lead for STEM (A-Levels & BTECs). Prior to that, they worked as a Biology Lecturer & BTEC Applied Science Lead at the same college starting in 2018. In 2017, they were a Biology Lecturer at Coleg Gwent. Additionally, they had a role at Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru / Natural Resources Wales in 2017 as Sampling and Collection staff. In 2017, they also worked as a Substitute Teacher at Supply Desk limited. Cari started their career in 2015 as Bar Staff at City Arms Cardiff. Cari then became a Teacher of Biology at St Alban's RC High School from 2014 to 2015, and finally a Teacher of Science at St John's College from 2013 to 2014.

Cari Rees completed their education with a Master's Degree in Environmental Biology from Swansea University in 2015-2016. Prior to that, they pursued a PGCE Secondary Biology with Science from Cardiff Metropolitan University between 2012 and 2013. Cari'sundergraduate degree in Zoology/Animal Biology was obtained from Cardiff University/Prifysgol Caerdydd in the period of 2009-2012. Additionally, Cari has obtained certifications in Effective leadership in science from STEM Learning UK in February 2020, and they achieved Spanish fluency at the beginner and elementary levels according to the estimates provided by Duolingo in August 2016.
