Christopher Pilcher has a diverse work experience. Christopher started in 2011 as an Engineering Technician at Harris Pye Engineering Group and worked there until 2014. In 2012, they became a Development Coach at WRU, where they worked with clubs and schools to promote rugby and accelerate players into professional regional sides. Christopher also supported community-based projects to grow participation and promote female rugby. In 2015, Christopher worked as a Pupil Support at Headlands School, where they supported learners with behavioral difficulties. Christopher then joined Cardiff and Vale College as a Lecturer in Aerospace Engineering, where they taught airframes and engines and delivered courses at various levels. Christopher had experience working with assessment organizations such as CAA, EASA, City and Guilds, EAL, and Pearson/BTEC. Christopher'steaching experience spans over 7 years.

Christopher Pilcher obtained their education from various institutions. In 2003, they attended Llantwit Major School, where they completed their GCSE in Mathematics, concluding in 2008. Christopher then pursued Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering at the International Centre for Aerospace Training from 2008 to 2011, earning a City & Guilds 2597, BTEC L3 in Aircraft Engineering, Key Skills L3, and PEO L2. Following this, they enrolled at the University of South Wales from 2015 to 2017, obtaining a PGCE in Education.

Additionally, Christopher Pilcher acquired several certifications throughout their career. In July 2008, they obtained a Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering from City & Guilds. In July 2010, they received a BTEC National Ext Dip in Aeronautical Engineering from Pearson. In July 2008, they obtained a Level 2 Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations from EAL Awards. Subsequently, in June 2019, they achieved the TAQA Practical Assessor In Aircraft Engineering and Maintenance certification from City & Guilds. Lastly, in October 2022, they obtained a Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance from City & Guilds.
