Supported Internships - Programme Lead at Cardiff and Vale College

Dan Jenkins has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as the Project SEARCH - Programme Lead at Cardiff and Vale College since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Job Developer - Project SEARCH, where their main responsibility was to develop and create employment opportunities for interns with additional learning needs as part of the Project SEARCH initiative between Cardiff and Vale College and Dow Silicones.

Before joining Cardiff and Vale College, Dan worked at Cardiff Blues from 2014 to 2020. Dan held various roles during this time, including Community Programmes Manager, Rugby Officer, and Club Liaison Officer - Taff East. As the Community Programmes Manager, they managed the delivery of all Cardiff Blues Community Foundation programmes and community staff, engaging over 50,000 participants from diverse backgrounds. As a Rugby Officer and Club Liaison Officer, they contributed to the development and coordination of community rugby activities.

In 2013, Dan worked at the WRU as a Community Coach and Festival Project Leader. In these roles, they collaborated with the local WRU Participation Officer to increase participation in rugby within the area, conducting coaching sessions in schools and organizing rugby camps during school holidays.

Earlier in their career, Dan worked as a Hotel Facilities Assistant at Withybush Hospital from 2011 to 2013. Dan also worked as a Leisure Attendant at Pembrokeshire County Council from 2008 to 2010, where they supported various roles within Haverfordwest Leisure Centre, including customer service, equipment setup and takedown, and cleaning.

Dan Jenkins attended Sir Thomas Picton School from 2005 to 2012. Dan then went on to the University of South Wales, where they completed a Foundation degree in Rugby Coaching and Performance from 2012 to 2014. Later, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Sport Coaching and Performance from the same university, graduating in 2015.
