Learning Area Lead For Arts A-levels at Cardiff and Vale College

Emma Williams has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Emma began their career as a Student Ambassador at Swansea University, where they worked with secondary school children to promote the benefits of higher education. Emma then worked as a Sales Consultant for Swarovski, where they excelled in driving sales and providing exceptional customer service.

Emma also gained valuable experience as a Sales Consultant, Repair Administrator, and Product Trainer at Pravins Limited. In this role, they demonstrated strong sales skills while offering personalized customer service. Emma also organized training sessions and presentations for staff and handled the repair process for items.

Emma'steaching career began at Vale of Glamorgan Council, where they worked as an English Teacher NQT and later as an Assistant Leader of English. Emma taught English to a variety of age groups, including adult learners and junior apprentices, and co-led the Scholars Programme, which supported high-achieving students.

Emma then joined Cardiff and Vale College as an English, Drama, and Classics Lecturer. In addition to teaching A-Level subjects, they also co-led the Scholars Programme and served as the Acting Learning Area Lead for Arts A-Levels.

Emma'sexperience in the education sector also includes a role as a UK Student Recruitment Officer at Swansea University, where they represented the university at recruitment events and contributed to the recruitment strategy.

Emma's passion for education and professional development led their to a role as a Professional Learning Expert at Cardiff and Vale College, where they designed an effective CPD program to enhance teaching quality across all campuses.

Emma also worked as a private English tutor and an examiner for WJEC/CBAC, gaining experience in personalized instruction and assessment.

Prior to their career in education, Emma worked as a Sales Assistant for Jack Wills and Aubin & Wills, where they drove sales, provided excellent customer service, and represented the brand.

Emma Williams attended St. Cyres Comprehensive School from 2001 to 2008. Emma then went on to Swansea University where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Classical Civilisations from 2008 to 2011. Emma continued their education at Swansea University and obtained a Master's degree in English from 2012 to 2013. Following that, they attended Cardiff Metropolitan University from 2013 to 2014 and completed a PGCE (Secondary) English, specializing in Secondary Education and Teaching. Most recently, Emma attended Cardiff and Vale College from 2019 to 2020, where they pursued an ILM Level 3 Aspiring Leaders certification.
