Dr Asif Zaman

Dr. Asif Zaman, Ph.D., is currently the Head of the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance and a Senior Lecturer at Cardiff Metropolitan University, specializing in Marketing, Strategy, and Islamic Finance. As a co-founder and CEO of EATAS Consulting Ltd, Zaman focuses on executive education, training, and consultancy in business management and the banking sector. Previous academic roles include instructing at Al Ain University of Science and Technology in the UAE, where business and management courses were developed and taught. Zaman's earlier experience as Managing Director at AZ Financial Services Limited involved training financial professionals and conducting feasibility studies. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Islamic Corporate Finance from Cardiff Metropolitan University, an MBA from the University of Wales, and a Diploma in Information Technology, along with a Private Pilots License.
