Augustus Chalokwu

Augustus Chalokwu, B.Engin., MBA, MSc, PMP, has over 30 years of work experience in various technical and managerial roles. Augustus currently serves as the Lead Technician (Technical AV / ICT) at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, a position they have held since September 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an IT Support Engineer at LA International computer consultants ltd. from June 2022 to September 2023, and as an AV Technical Support at The University of Manchester from October 2021 to September 2023.

Augustus's extensive experience also includes over 20 years at Acti-Tech Ltd, where they served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) from April 2001 to May 2022. At Acti-Tech Ltd, they were responsible for engineering systems integration, networking, installation and maintenance of VSAT equipment, and distribution of audiovisual equipment and supplies in Nigeria.

Prior to Acti-Tech Ltd, Augustus worked as a Systems Manager at Hicad Systems Limited from February 1992 to April 2001.

Augustus Chalokwu earned their Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Benin between 1985 and 1990. In 1998, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Financial Management Services at Lagos State University, completing it in 2002. In 2011, Augustus obtained the PMP (Project Management Professional) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). Furthermore, in 2004, they achieved the CCNA certification from Cisco. Most recently, they attended the University of Salford from 2020 to 2021, obtaining an MSc in Project Management in Construction.
