Louis Yu Pan Luk

Louis Yu Pan Luk is a Senior Lecturer and University Research Fellow at Cardiff University since January 2012, focusing on developing an independent research group in chemical biology and synthetic biology. Previously, Louis held the position of Research Associate, concentrating on enzymology and synthetic biology. Louis was a Post-doctoral Scholar at the University of Chicago from October 2010 to October 2011, conducting mechanistic studies on the Shaker ion channel and synthesizing peptide toxins. Earlier experience includes serving as an NSERC USRA scholar student at The University of British Columbia, where mechanistic characterization of BphD was performed. Louis obtained a Ph.D. in Bioorganic Chemistry/Enzymology and a B.Sc. in Chemistry, Microbiology & Immunology from The University of British Columbia. Education was completed at Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School.
