Dolly Kao

Dolly Kao has extensive work experience in the field of intellectual property law. Dolly is currently a Shareholder and Chief IP Counsel at Dolly Kao Professional Corporation (Kao IP) and Virox Technologies Inc. respectively. Dolly previously held the same position at Cardiol Therapeutics Inc. Dolly co-founded and served as Counsel at Perry + Currier Inc. / Currier + Kao LLP and worked as an Associate at Ridout & Maybee LLP, Torys LLP, Barrigar & Moss, and Rogers & Scott.

Dolly Kao earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Toronto in 1991. Dolly then pursued a Doctor of Law - JD degree from the same university, completing it in 1994. Dolly Kao has also obtained additional certifications including being a Registered Trademark Agent and a Registered Patent Agent from CPATA/CIPO in 1999 and 1998, respectively. Additionally, they became a Barrister and Solicitor, being called to the Bar of Ontario by the Law Society of Ontario in 1996.
