Afnan Nazer

Afnan Nazer has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. In 2017, they worked as a Customer Support Executive at ATRIUM MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIES. In 2018, they served as a Biomedical Engineer at Olives India, and later as a Student Intern at The University of Göttingen. In 2019, Afnan joined the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Selforganization, where they worked as a Student Assistant in the Biomedical Physics Group, focusing on computational cardiology and experiments. They also worked as an Intern, studying electrophysiological characterization and mathematical modeling of human atria. Lastly, in 2022, Afnan joined Cardisio as a Junior Developer and later transitioned to the role of Senior Developer in 2023.

Afnan Nazer completed a Master's degree in Cardiovascular Science from The University of Göttingen from 2018 to 2021. Prior to this, from 2013 to 2017, Afnan obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Anna University. In terms of additional certifications, Afnan participated in the FoMICS-DADSi Winter School on Cardiac Simulation from the USI Università della Svizzera italiana in 2020. Afnan also received Volunteer Recognition from The University of Göttingen in July 2019. Additionally, Afnan attended the International Symposium: 50 Years of Excitable Media: From Theory to Applications at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Selforganization in June 2019. Afnan obtained further certification through the 2017 IEEE International Conference on Smart Technologies and Management for Computing, Controls, Energy and Materials organized by IEEE in August 2017. Afnan gained practical experience through student internships at Apollo Hospitals in August 2016 and KIMS Healthcare Management Ltd. in June 2015. Moreover, Afnan was recognized as the Champion in the National Level Abacus Competition at the Brainobrain Kids Academy Pvt Ltd in November 2011.
