Jose Payano

Jose Payano is a seasoned consultant with extensive experience in digital payments, mobile banking, and financial inclusion. Since January 2018, Payano has been self-employed, focusing on innovative projects such as designing e-money initiatives. Currently serving as a Digital Payments Consultant for Consorcio Dom, de Tarjetas, Payano has developed several digital wallets and payment systems. Prior roles include overseeing digital channels and innovation at Banco BHD León, where Payano led the bank's ATM and online banking operations. Contributions also include consulting for the Banco Central de la República Dominicana and involvement in e-commerce and digital strategy initiatives. Payano holds an MBA from Université du Québec à Montréal and a postgraduate degree in International Trade Law from Universidad APEC.
