Arben Zibri PhD, CFA

Arben Zibri, PhD, CFA has a diverse and extensive work experience. Arben is currently working at CARDO AI as a Data Science Product Manager, a role they started in 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Origination Platform at the same company from 2021 to 2023.

Before their tenure at CARDO AI, Arben worked as a Venture Investor at VU Venture Partners from 2021 to 2022. Arben also has experience at Morgan Stanley, where they held the position of DIRECTOR - Valuation Model Control from 2020 to 2021. At Morgan Stanley, they were responsible for evaluating Fixed Income Derivatives and ensuring the accurate recording of derivative prices. Arben conducted thorough model reviews and performed analysis for the Total Return Swap Financing Portfolio.

Arben's earlier work experience includes roles at the Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF) and Alpha Bank Albania SHA. At AADF, they served as a Project Manager for the Entrepreneurship Program from 2017 to 2020, managing various projects and establishing a non-bank financial institution. Arben also worked as a Project Coordinator for the same program from 2015 to 2016, overseeing grant processes and providing insights for decision-making.

Additionally, Arben has experience as a part-time Lecturer at the University of New York Tirana from 2012 to 2019, where they taught courses in finance. Arben also worked as a Lecturer at Epoka University from 2012 to 2019, teaching courses in portfolio management, bank management, and other finance topics.

Arben's early career includes a role as a Senior Relationship Manager in the Medium Business Financing Department and later as the Small Business Financing Supervisor at Alpha Bank Albania SHA. Prior to that, they worked as a Credit Analyst specializing in Small Medium Enterprise Loans at the same bank.

Throughout their career, Arben has demonstrated strong expertise in finance, data science, project management, and academia.

Arben Zibri holds a Doctorate Degree in Economics from the University "Aleksander Moisiu", Durres, which they obtained from 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Masters of Sciences in Finance at Alba Graduate Business School from 2008 to 2009. In the same year, they also received a Summer School Certificate in Negotiations and Public Relations from the Fulbright International Summer Institute (FISI). Arben Zibri began their academic journey by earning a Bachelor of Sciences in Finance from the University of New York Tirana, which they completed from 2004 to 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Arben Zibri has obtained several certifications to enhance their expertise. These include a Venture Capital Investor Accelerator certification from Venture University in March 2022. In May 2020, they completed the Financial Engineering and Risk Management Part I and Part II courses offered by Coursera. Furthermore, they hold the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder designation, which they obtained from the CFA Institute in August 2019.
