Hayley Lee Allen has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Hayley Lee is currently working as the Head of Governance, Risk and Quality at CARE Australia. Prior to this, they served as the Chair of the Board of Directors at This Life, where they led the organization's groundbreaking diversionary programming and recruitment drive for board members. Hayley also worked at the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria as the Manager of Governance and Projects, where they established the Project Management Office and led business case development for future investment. Hayley Lee has also held positions at the State Library Victoria, Melbourne Recital Centre, Australian Greens, Bendigo Art Gallery, Melbourne Recital Centre, and the National Gallery of Victoria, where they gained experience in governance, project management, partnerships, and event planning.

Hayley Lee Allen began their education in 2009 at Melbourne Polytechnic, where they pursued an Advanced Diploma in Events with a focus on Event Management. In 2011, they furthered their studies at UniSA, obtaining a Graduate Diploma in Management (Arts and Cultural Management) from the School of Business. In 2022, they undertook Commercial Capability Training at the Office of Projects Victoria. In the same year, they also enrolled in the Australian Institute of Company Directors and completed the Company Directors Course, specializing in Corporate Governance. Continuing their education in 2023, Hayley is currently pursuing a degree in NFP Climate governance: Starting the journey to Net Zero from the Australian Institute of Company Directors, furthering their knowledge in corporate governance.
