Nydia Martinez

Nydia Martinez is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Healing Through Rhythm, a nonprofit organization established in November 2023 that utilizes rhythm-based modalities for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. Additionally, Nydia has extensive experience at Care Design New York since December 2018, holding various leadership roles including Director, Regional Team Leader, and Supervisor, focusing on supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Prior to this, Nydia worked at IRI: Innovative Resources for Independence as a Direct Support Professional and Medicaid Service Coordinator, and held supervisory and provider roles in various organizations such as Heaven's Hands Community Services, CHDFS, Inc., and Mendez Boxing. Nydia's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Disability Studies from CUNY School of Professional Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hunter College.
