Samitha Heanthenna has worked in a variety of roles in the tech industry. From 2017 to 2019, they were employed at CareHires Ltd, where they held the roles of Head of Technical Delivery and Operations, Technical Product Manager, Technical Business Analyst/Product Manager, Business Analyst, and Associate Business Analyst. From 2019 to 2022, they worked at International Maritime Industries as a RPA - Project Manager, Pyxle as a Project Manager cum Business Analyst, and Programus Ltd as a Project Manager/Business Analyst. Additionally, from 2017 to 2019, they worked at Virtusa as a Junior QA Engineer, where they worked in GTO-SI Research & Development Division for 3 parallel projects mainly based on API's (FinTech), Web based, and standalone applications.

Samitha Heanthenna has an extensive education history. Samitha obtained their G.C.E Ordinary Level and G.C.E Advanced Level from St.Anthony's College Kandy between 2000 and 2013. In 2014, they completed a Diploma in PC Hardware Engineering & Network Administration from ESOFT Metro Campus. From 2015 to 2019, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Special Honours in Information Technology Specialised in Computer Software Engineering from SLIIT. Samitha is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration - MBA in Project Management at Cardiff Metropolitan University since 2021. Additionally, they have obtained three certifications: RPA Business Analyst from UiPath in 2020, Diploma in PC Hardware Engineering & Network Administration from Pearson Education Services Private Limited in 2015, and Certified Scrum Product Owner\u00ae (CSPO\u00ae) from Scrum Alliance in 2020.
