Hannah McConnell

Hannah McConnell, RN, BSN, CDOE, is a dedicated healthcare professional with extensive experience in nursing, particularly in diabetes education and patient care. Currently serving as a Diabetes Nurse Educator at Care New England since December 2022, Hannah specializes in providing nursing care to pregnant individuals with various types of diabetes and has a strong focus on education through group classes and public speaking. Previous roles include clinic nurse at Rhode Island Free Clinic, pediatric registered nurse at Hasbro Children's Hospital, and registered nurse at Lifespan and The Miriam Hospital, where Hannah supported adult and pediatric patients while fostering collaboration with healthcare teams. Significant training includes certifications in diabetes education and Spanish medical interpreting, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Simmons University and a Bachelor's degree in English from Pomona College.
