Deputy Director Mental Health Act Operations at Care Quality Commission

Charlotte Rogers is an experienced professional in mental health policy and regulation, currently serving as the Deputy Director of Mental Health Act Operations at the Care Quality Commission since July 2021. In this role, Charlotte leads the CQC's statutory responsibilities related to the Mental Health Act, including overseeing the second opinion appointed doctors service and MHA complaints investigations. Previously, Charlotte held the position of Interim Head of Mental Health Policy at the Health and Care Professions Council and served as Policy Lead at the Royal College of Nursing. With a solid background in regulatory policy management from the General Medical Council and prior roles in policy at NCVO, Charlotte's expertise is supported by academic credentials, including a Bar Professional Training Course from Nottingham Trent University and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Derby.
