Alexandra Matei

Alexandra Matei is a seasoned professional in humanitarian advocacy and policy, currently serving as the Co-Chair of the Asia Pacific Gender in Humanitarian Action Working Group and Regional Humanitarian Advocacy Adviser for CARE since November 2022. Prior experience includes directorial roles at World Vision, focusing on advocacy and communications for the Syria response, and serving as Co-Chair for the No Lost Generation initiative across the Middle East. Alexandra's background also encompasses regional mixed migration advocacy at the International Rescue Committee and policy management roles at World Vision. Alexandra has contributed to various organizations, including the European Commission and Club Rotaract T.E, addressing humanitarian crises through research and conference coordination. Alexandra holds a Master of Arts in Human Rights Law and Politics from The University of Manchester and is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Danubius International University.
