Ayele Belachew

Ayele Belachew is a seasoned humanitarian program manager specializing in health and nutrition, with extensive experience in emergency response initiatives across Ethiopia. Ayele has been with CARE since April 2015, conducting rapid assessments and designing and managing projects that serve disaster-affected communities, securing funding from major international donors. Previous roles at CARE Ethiopia included managing maternal, neonatal, and child health programs and leading reproductive health and nutrition interventions. Ayele's earlier experience includes positions at PSI Ethiopia as a zonal nutrition mentor and various health leadership roles, including head of the district health office at Oromia Health Bureau. Ayele holds two master's degrees in Public Health from Haramaya University.
