Magnus Olsson

Magnus Olsson is the Co-Founder of Careem.

Magnus started his first company at 15 - Olsson Solutions – to offer IT consulting for small and medium enterprises that couldn’t afford the likes of IBM, before studying computer science at Lund University in Sweden.

Post graduation, Magnus joined management consulting firm McKinsey & Company and soon after moved to the Middle East. He quit Mckinsey after five years to start something big and meaningful with ex-Mckinsey colleague Mudassir Sheikha. Their mission was to simplify and improve the lives of people in the Middle East region and build an awesome organisation that inspires. Careem was founded in 2012 and today, is the leading technology platform for the region, operating in more than 100 cities in 14 countries, with 3000+ colleagues and more than one million Captains (drivers).
