Salman Shaikh

Salman Shaikh is an experienced Engineering Manager at Careem since July 2017, leading the Ride Hailing Vertical Backend team and utilizing Toyota Production System philosophy to enhance team efficiency. Previously, Salman has served in various roles at Careem, including Software Engineer II (Tech Lead), where leadership of a team of seven engineers and the implementation of innovative platforms like "Super Care" were key achievements, and Software Engineer I, focusing on prioritization systems for customer support. Prior experience includes development of a virtual telephony system at Afiniti that significantly reduced testing time and projects for the Prime Minister Office in Dubai as an Associate Software Engineer at Systems Limited, leveraging IBM BPM technology. Salman holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences.
