Michelle Wellman-Miller has extensive experience in the healthcare and medical coding field, currently serving as an Instructor for the Physician Medical Coding Specialist Program at C-TEC of Licking County since November 2009, after transitioning from part-time work starting in 2007. Previous roles include Physician Coding Manager at Genesis Healthcare System, where responsibilities encompassed multi-specialty coding, provider education, and training staff, and a Physician Coding Specialist at Licking Memorial Health Systems focused on auditing and provider education. Michelle's career also includes positions as Billing Manager/Coder and Practice Manager at orthopedic and medical practices, and earlier experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science from Ohio University and an Associate of Science from the University of Rio Grande.

At C-TEC we help our students make successful transitions, regardless of their stage in life. Our mission is clear: ”provide all learners with academic and technical skills needed for career opportunities and continuous learning.” The majority of tomorrow’s jobs will require people to have technical training. The technical curriculum at C-TEC's High School and Adult Education Center prepares students to enter the workforce and/or a two or four-year college degree programs. In addition to our High School and Adult Education Center, C-TEC offers Customized Training to local employers to assure that their employees have the technical skills necessary to succeed. Customized Training is available around the clock on and off-site.
