Andrea Young (PhD) has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Andrea currently serves as the Head of Marketing and Communications at Career Connect since June 2022. Prior to this, Andrea worked as a PR Manager and Senior Press Officer at Everton Football Club from March 2019 to September 2022. Andrea also held the position of Communications and Engagement Manager at NHS Wirral Clinical Commissioning Group from November 2017 to March 2019.

Andrea has a strong background in university settings, having worked as a Press and Social Media Officer at Liverpool Hope University from June 2014 to November 2017. Andrea also briefly served as a Press and Marketing Officer at the Liverpol Institute for Performing Arts in April 2014. Additionally, Andrea has experience in multi-platform integrated marketing communications as a Communications Officer at the Diocese of Liverpool and Liverpool Cathedral (Church of England) from 2009 to April 2014.

Andrea has also worked as an Independent Scholar, where they served as an Academic Consultant and PR Officer for Liverpool Passion Plays from February 2013 to March 2014. Andrea's academic experience includes roles as a Tutor at the University of Manchester from September 2013 to February 2014, and as a Lecturer and Sessional Lecturer at the University of Liverpool Continuing Education Programme from 2005 to 2014.

Andrea holds a PhD and has expertise in English literature, specializing in the Medieval and Early Modern periods. Andrea has delivered courses, designed lectures, and taught various topics related to literature and drama in both university and sessional lecturer roles.

Andrea Young (PhD) completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) Hons. in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford in 2003. In 2006, they pursued their Master of Arts (MA) by Directed Research in Medieval Literature (Medieval Drama) from the University of Liverpool. Andrea continued their education at the University of Liverpool and earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medieval Literature in 2012.
