Carmelina Piedra

Carmelina Piedra is an experienced career coach, founder, and certified facilitator. Carmelina founded Career Coaching Pro in 2004, where they help individuals find their ideal roles and achieve promotions. Carmelina is also the founder of MyGrowthub, a coaching business platform that helps coaches increase their leads and sales. Carmelina is a member of the Forbes Coaches Council and serves as an executive innovation coach and certified facilitator at LUMA Institute. Additionally, Carmelina is the vice-president elect for the Spring Cohort 2022 at Founder Institute. Carmelina has previous work experience as an adjunct mentor and career coach at CareerFoundry, the head of UX and digital customer experience at Panduit, the user experience design strategy and execution leader at Allstate, the director of user experience at Lincoln Financial Group, and the senior user experience manager at Cars.com.

Carmelina Piedra, MDes and CPF, has a strong education background in design, advertising, and business. Carmelina earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Advertising, Graphic Design, and Business from Indiana University Bloomington in 1997. Carmelina further pursued their studies at the Institute of Design (ID) from 2004 to 2006, where they obtained a Master in Design with a focus on research, strategy, and UX Design. Additionally, they engaged in a study abroad program in Milan, Italy, through IES Abroad in 1995-1996, specializing in Italian language and art. Alongside their educational achievements, Carmelina has acquired several certifications, including the Certified Professional Facilitator (CPF) from LUMA Institute in 2023, indicating expertise in facilitating collaborative processes. Carmelina has also attained certifications in career coaching, human-centered design thinking, and Agile SAFE methodology.
