Michael Corbit

Michael Corbit has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Michael has worked for CareerSource Palm Beach County since 2015, where they currently serve as the Vice President of Business Development. In this role, they collaborate with regional businesses, government, education, and industry leaders to promote job growth and business development. Michael represents CareerSource on various boards and committees.

Prior to their current position, Corbit worked as the Director of Community & Partner Relations at CareerSource Research Coast from 2009 to 2015. Michael also served as the Executive Director of InternetCoast Economic Development Council from 2003 to 2009, and as the Vice President of Marketing & Sales at Advanced Processing & Imaging, Inc. from 2007 to 2009.

Corbit's earlier experience includes roles such as Channel Marketing Manager at Citrix Systems from 1999 to 2003, Director of Marketing & Communications at Champion Solutions Group -IBM from 1995 to 1999, and Sales Automation Manager at Sensormatic from 1995 to 1996.

Before transitioning into the tech industry, Corbit worked as a Practice Administrator at Knight Institute from 1988 to 1994, and as a Property & Sales Manager at Florida Consolidated Equity from 1981 to 1988.

Michael Corbit completed the Executive Development Program Certification at Nova Southeastern University from 1998 to 1999. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Education with a focus on Youth Leadership from Milligan College between 1977 and 1981. Michael also graduated from GlenOak High School in 1977, receiving a High School Diploma in the General field. In addition to their formal education, Michael Corbit has obtained several certifications from LinkedIn, including "Holding Yourself Accountable," "Building Rapport with Customers," "Empathy for Customer Service Professionals," "Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging," "Building Accountability into Your Culture," "Learning to Say No with Confidence and Grace," and "Leading Culture Change in Your Team." These certifications were acquired between January 2022 and August 2022.
