Jason Druding

Jason Druding has a diverse work experience with a focus on management and program development. Jason is currently working as the Director of Business Services at CareerSource Pinellas. Prior to this, they were the Director of Program Services at Lighthouse for the Blind & Low Vision. Before that, Jason held the position of Director-Seeking New Opportunities.

From 2019 to 2022, Jason worked as the Director of Operations at Lighthouse of Pinellas. In this role, they oversaw various aspects of the organization, such as managing a large staff, ensuring compliance with contracts and grants, and improving program efficiency. Jason also secured funding for new programs and projects, such as a Teen STEM program and a call center project.

Prior to this, Jason had several roles at CareerSource Pinellas from 2012 to 2018, including Special Projects Coordinator, Lead Recruiter-Veteran Services, Business Services Recruiter, and Veterans Employment Representative-Recruiter focused on Veteran Employment. In these positions, they assisted candidates with job placement, facilitated recruitment events, and trained new staff members.

Jason also has experience in admissions and program management, having worked as a Program Manager at Rasmussen College from 2010 to 2012. Jason was responsible for recruiting prospective students, organizing special events, and achieving high retention rates in the School of Technology/Design and School of Justice Studies.

Earlier in their career, Jason worked as a Certified Personal Finance Counselor at CareOne Debt Relief Services, where they provided financial counseling to clients. Jason also owned and managed a franchise at Cold Stone Creamery and held a management role at Academic Financial Services.

Before entering the civilian workforce, Jason served in the United States Marine Corps as an Assault Amphibian Vehicle Mechanic from 2000 to 2007.

Jason Druding has a Master's of Arts degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from Barry University. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of South Florida. In terms of additional certifications, Jason obtained a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021. Jason also holds the Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP) certification from the Department of Economic Opportunity, State of Florida, which they obtained in May 2012.
