Richard Beynon

Richard Beynon has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade, with roles in various industries and organizations. Richard is currently serving as the Director of Information Technology and Chief Technology Officer at CareerSource Tampa Bay, where they are responsible for setting the technology direction and ensuring responsible application of technology. Prior to this, Richard worked as a Principal Consultant at The Stratus Group, where they helped develop processes and standard operation procedures, improving operating efficiency and profitability for small and medium-sized businesses. Richard has also served as an Advisory Board Member at St. Petersburg College and as an MBA Leadership Coach at the University of Tampa. Additionally, Richard has experience working at Apple as a Business Lead, providing support and guidance to exceed sales and support objectives. Earlier in their career, they held positions at Zog Inc as the Vice President of Consulting Service and vCIO, at PJM Interconnection in IT/Business Strategy, at the University of Pennsylvania as a Technology Sourcing Manager, and at GMAC and GMAC Home Services in IT Sourcing and IT Program Management roles, respectively. Overall, Richard has a strong background in technology, consulting, and leadership in various industries.

Richard Beynon obtained a Graduate Certificate in Information Assurance from the University of South Florida in 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Strayer University between 2009 and 2011. Richard also holds additional certifications, including an (ISC)² Candidate certification obtained in January 2023, an Inclusive and Ethical Leadership Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education obtained in December 2021, a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education obtained in May 2021, and a Post-Crisis Leadership Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education obtained in July 2020.
