Alexander Schmid, FSA, MAAA, currently serves as the Director of Large Group Pricing at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield since October 2019. Prior to this role, Alexander held the position of Director of Commercial Pricing at Evolent Health from July 2018 to September 2019. Alexander's experience includes lower-level actuarial roles at Blue Cross NC from December 2014 to June 2018 and at Kaiser Permanente from March 2011 to December 2014, where Alexander progressed from Actuarial Analyst I to Assistant Actuary. Alexander holds a degree from the University of Maryland, completed between 2006 and 2010.
