Dan Zohorsky

Dan Zohorsky has a strong background in strategy and corporate development. Dan is currently serving as the Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, a role they have held since November 2022. Prior to this, they were the Director of Corporate Development at the same company, starting in April 2019.

Before joining CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Dan worked at Anthem, Inc. as a Strategy Director from July 2018 to April 2019. Dan also had a significant tenure at W.R. Grace & Co., where they held the position of Senior Manager of Corporate Development from September 2011 to July 2018. In this role, they led M&A and strategic transactions, playing a crucial role in over $1.2 billion in acquisitions for Grace's Specialty Catalyst business segment.

Dan began their career as a Senior Analyst at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey in July 2007. There, they assisted public and private companies in developing corporate strategy, executing mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and private placements. Dan also provided unique market analysis and commentary to support deal origination and execution functions.

Prior to their time at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, Dan worked as a Securities Analyst at Wells Fargo from July 2005 to July 2007. In this role, they worked closely with issuers in modeling newly issued mortgage-backed securities and resolved payment and reporting issues by researching and interpreting controlling legal documents.

Dan Zohorsky earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business in 2005. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Finance from the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, completing this degree in 2013.
