Destiny-Simone Ramjohn

Destiny-Simone Ramjohn, Ph.D., serves as the Vice President of Community Health and Social Impact at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield since January 2020. Previously, Dr. Ramjohn held several leadership positions at Kaiser Permanente from March 2015 to January 2020, including Director of Community Health and Director of Stakeholder Relations, where responsibilities involved managing external stakeholder relationships and advancing the organization's social mission. Earlier experience includes a role as Deputy Program Manager at Engility Corporation, focusing on program evaluation for the Defense Centers of Excellence, as well as positions at the US Army Public Health Command and the New York State Health Foundation, where contributions included strategic planning and evaluation technical assistance. Dr. Ramjohn holds a Ph.D. in Sociomedical Sciences from Columbia University and has also earned a Master of Arts in the same field from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
