Rik Khurana

Rik Khurana has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Rik began their career at IBM Global Business Services in 2000, where they worked as a Solution Architect and Delivery Lead. During their time there, they led multiple projects and was recognized with 4 IBM "Bravo" awards.

In 2010, Rik moved on to HighPoint Solutions, where they initially served as a Tech Program Manager, specializing in Architecture and Execution. Rik provided strategic leadership to clients, optimizing processes and managing multi-million dollar programs using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Rik also worked as a Program Manager at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, where they spearheaded the HIPAA 5010 Federal Mandate program. Their technical leadership and engagement with a cross-functional team ensured successful delivery for the program's first phase.

Since 2013, Rik has been with CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, starting as a Program Director for Technology Initiatives. Rik later transitioned to the role of Director of Information Technology, where they led the implementation of Salesforce and CRM solutions, resulting in substantial cost savings. Currently, Rik is serving as the Vice President of Software Engineering, where they are responsible for developing IT strategies, establishing technology teams, and driving revenue opportunities through innovative product suites.

Throughout their career, Rik Khurana has demonstrated strong leadership abilities, strategic vision, and the ability to execute end-to-end product strategies. Their work has been instrumental in driving revenue growth and enhancing business responsiveness.

Rik Khurana pursued their education at the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained an MBA degree in Information technology and Strategic Management. Prior to that, they attended the Delhi College of Engineering from 1996 to 2000, earning a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Rik also holds several additional certifications, including Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance, obtained in August 2020, Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute, obtained in August 2012, AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty from Amazon Web Services (AWS), obtained in October 2020, and Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS), obtained in September 2019.
