Head Of Flying Operations/chief Pilot at Careflight

Iain Percival has a wealth of experience in aviation and flight operations. Iain began their career as a Hawk pilot in the Royal Air Force, providing air-to-air and air-to-ground aggressor training for the UK Armed Forces. Iain also served as an instructor pilot on the Joint Forward Air Control Training and Standardisation Unit. After leaving the Royal Air Force, they joined PelAir as the Defence Flight Operations Manager, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Learjet and Westwind aircraft for the Australian Defence Force. Iain was also involved in policy and procedure review and control. Following this, they worked at PelAir Aviation as the Fleet Standards Manager and Check Captain, overseeing the establishment of an aeromedical and charter operations base in Malaysia and Singapore, as well as conducting jet charter and aeromedical operations globally. Currently, Iain is the Head of Flying Operations/Chief Pilot at CareFlight, where they manage flight operations and ensures safety and efficiency.

Iain Percival's education history begins with their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Loughborough University, which they obtained from 1991 to 1994. Iain then pursued further studies and completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology from The Open University between 2008 and 2010. More recently, in 2017, they enrolled at Henley Business School for an Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
