Rod Kramer, MBA, CPCU, ARe, AIAF

Rod Kramer, MBA, CPCU, ARe, AIAF has a strong background in the insurance industry, with expertise in reinsurance and statutory accounting. Rod currently serves as the Reinsurance Controller at CareGard Warranty Services, Inc. since October 2022. Prior to this, Rod worked for Homeowners of America Insurance Company as the Statutory Accounting Manager from March 2016 to July 2022, where they managed financial statements, premium tax reporting, and regulatory compliance filings. From January 2011 to June 2015, they worked at State National Companies (SNC) as a Reinsurance Financial Manager. Rod also held the role of Reinsurance Marketing Manager at EFG Companies from September 2007 to December 2010. Before that, they served as the Finance Director of Special Projects at Affirmative Insurance from April 2006 to September 2007, where they led project management process improvement initiatives and implemented a new budgeting system. Earlier in their career, Rod worked at EWI Re, Inc. as the Fiduciary Accounting Manager / AVP Finance from March 2003 to April 2006. Rod began their career at Wausau Insurance in 1989 and held various positions in reinsurance, including Reinsurance Specialist and Sr., before becoming the Finance Director / AVP Finance and Administrative Operations. During their time at Wausau Insurance, Rod led the finance, accounting, and IT departments and managed a Y2K project converting the mainframe environment to a data warehouse architecture.

Rod Kramer earned their Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Rod later pursued higher education and obtained an MBA in International Business from The University of Texas at Arlington from 2000 to 2002.
