Jan Mallan is an experienced healthcare professional with a career spanning over three decades. Since July 2018, Jan has served as Home Manager at Careline Lifestyles/Durham Careline Limited. Prior roles include Home Manager at Four Seasons Healthcare UK (July 2017 - August 2018) and Director of Nursing at Autumn Care (November 2013 - March 2015). Additional experience includes Director of Care at Embracia Aged Care (2010 - 2012) and Manager at Brightwater Care Group Ltd. (2007 - 2010). Earlier positions feature a role as Tutor Assessor at Springboard Sunderland (May 2004 - September 2005) and a leading Naval Nurse in the Royal Navy Reserves (August 1998 - August 2005). Jan began the nursing career as an Enrolled Nurse at Sunderland Royal Infirmary (February 1982 - February 2003), specializing as a Dialysis Nurse. Jan’s education includes qualifications from City & Guilds, Monkwearmouth College, and Northumbria University, along with training at Sunderland School of Nursing.
