Katherine Campbell

Katherine Campbell is a seasoned professional in the fields of data science, software engineering, and education, currently serving as Technical Manager for Data Science and AI at Carelon since 2024. Previously, Katherine held multiple roles at Optum from 2018 to 2024, culminating in positions as Senior Software Engineer Team Lead and Associate Director, Principal Data Scientist. Prior experience includes a Machine Learning Researcher role at Insight SFI Centre for Data Analytics, where contributions were made to research in explanation formation and text analytics in collaboration with the British Library. In the education sector, Katherine has designed curricula and taught English at various institutions, including Dublin Tutorial Centre and Trinity College Dublin. Katherine holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from University College Dublin and a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics from Trinity College Dublin, along with a CELTA certificate and undergraduate degrees in Biological-Evolutionary Psychology, Anthropology, and a minor in Spanish from Penn State University.
