Wendy Garlitz is an experienced genetic counselor with a strong background in oncology and genetic analysis. Currently serving as Team Lead for Genetic Counselor Review at Carelon since November 2022, Garlitz previously held the position of Senior Oncology Genetic Counselor/Genetic Analyst at InformedDNA from September 2014 to November 2022, where responsibilities included the review of genetic test requests and providing support to medical professionals. Garlitz has also contributed to the implementation of oncology genetic counseling services at Kaiser Permanente and the Colorado Integrative Cancer Center, as well as providing exceptional counseling at Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers. Earlier experience includes a role at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus as a Genetic Counselor/Research Coordinator and a coordinator at Marshfield Clinic for an immunization registry system. Garlitz holds a Master's degree in Genetic Counseling from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Biology from the University of Oregon.
