Adam Dunlop is an experienced executive currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at The Carents Room since March 2023, a social enterprise dedicated to supporting adults in caring for elderly parents. As the owner of Strata Nostra Ltd since August 2012, Adam has been instrumental in promoting thecarentsroom.com. Prior to this role, Adam held positions such as Marketing Director at Northumbria University for nearly a decade, and Head of Group Communications & Marketing at Carillion. Additional experiences include Group Marketing Director at Eaga and Partner & Director at CPCR Ltd. Adam's extensive background in marketing began at Procter & Gamble, where responsibilities spanned over 18 years in various leadership roles. Adam holds a Master of Business Administration from Northumbria University and a BA in Psychology from Swansea University.

Carents is on a mission to transform the experience of ageing for the better—for those caring for elderly relatives and for the elderly themselves. We recognise and support the millions of mid-life adults who are stepping up to care for their ageing parents, a group we call carents. Founded in 2020 by Dr Jackie Gray, a GP and Consultant in Public Health Medicine with over 30 years of experience, Carents was born out of personal insight and professional expertise. Jackie’s journey caring for her own elderly father revealed the challenges and isolation that many carents face, alongside a shortage of suitable information, services, and support.
