Tammy Rooke

Tammy Rooke, RN BScN MN CCHN(c) has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Tammy has held various roles throughout their career, starting in 1998 as a Registered Nurse in Cardiology at The Hospital for Sick Children. Tammy then moved on to Hamilton Health Sciences and Cambridge Memorial Hospital, where they worked in the Emergency department. In 2002, they joined Probity Medical Research Inc. as a Clinical Research Coordinator and later became a Clinical Research Project Manager. From 2007 to 2009, Tammy worked as a Registered Nurse in Childbirth at Grand River Hospital. Tammy then transitioned to CarePartners, where they took on roles as Clinical Nurse Educator, Clinical Practice & Informatics Specialist, and currently serves as the Director of Clinical Practice, Design & Experience. Additionally, Tammy has taken on teaching roles at McMaster University as a Lecturer and at Conestoga College as a Professor of Nursing. Tammy'sdiverse experience and expertise make their a valuable asset in the healthcare field.

Tammy Rooke, RN BScN MN CCHN(c) has a diverse education history. In 1997, they obtained an RN Diploma from Mohawk College, specializing in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. In 2004, they received a Certificate in Clinical Research Professional from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Continuing their education, Tammy completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Post RN BScN) from Ryerson University in 2013. Most recently, they achieved a Master's degree in Nursing from Western University in 2021. Apart from their degrees, Tammy has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2005, they became a Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Tammy also holds the designation of Community Health Nursing Certification (CCHN(c)) from the Canadian Nurses Association, which they achieved in 2012. Tammy is a member of the College of Nurses of Ontario and has additional certifications such as being an IHC Faculty Member for Choices and Changes from the Institute for Healthcare Communication in 2012 and a Craving Change Facilitator from Craving Change Inc. in 2018.
