Randy Hyun

Randy Hyun currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of CarepathRx, a company providing innovative pharmacy solutions to Hospital Health Systems centered on end-to-end service for all pharmacy needs including Specialty, Infusion, and continuous home solutions for all prescriptions. In this role, Mr. Hyun has the direct responsibility of overseeing key business units as well as driving strategy and operations across CarepathRx’s portfolio of companies.

Prior to this, Mr. Hyun was CEO of Aetna Medicaid, a national Medicaid managed care organization with Medicaid and Duals health plans across 16 states. Mr. Hyun lead business strategy, operations, and administration, overseeing company growth, regulator relationships, employee development, operational integrity, and regulatory compliance. During his tenure at Aetna Medicaid, he successfully acquired a large Medicaid plan and also entered a new state, resulting in a growth of 500,000 members.

Mr. Hyun joined Aetna in 2017 as the President of Aetna Pharmacy Management. In this position, he was responsible for the operations, growth, and profitability of Aetna’s pharmacy benefit management unit including oversight of Aetna Specialty Pharmacy & Aetna Rx Home Delivery.

Prior to Aetna, Mr. Hyun spent 18 years at McKesson Corporation in a variety of senior leadership roles, including as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Provider Solutions, responsible for McKesson’s specialty pharmaceutical business supporting physician offices and specialty pharmacies. He also served as Senior Vice President and General Manager for McKesson Specialty Health’s Multi-Specialty and Pharmaceutical and Biotech Solutions, responsible for pharmaceutical and biotech-facing businesses.

His additional key roles at McKesson included Vice President and General Manager for McKesson Extended Care Solutions, a technology division that provides home health and hospice agencies with the clinical and financial tools to manage care and reimbursement, as well as, Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Business Development for McKesson Provider Technologies where he leads strategic planning and mergers & acquisitions.

Prior to McKesson, Mr. Hyun spent time at a boutique management consulting firm and at a healthcare e-commerce start-up.

Mr. Hyun earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
