Robert Parker has a diverse work experience that spans over several decades. Robert started their career in 1986 as the Manager of Budget and Reimbursement at Greenwich Hospital. Robert then went on to work at Charter Medical Corporation as Assistant Administrator and later as Senior Manager of Operations. In 1991, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Brigham City Community Hospital. After that, they worked as an Assistant Professor at Weber State University. Robert then served as the Redevelopment Committee Chair and Regional Mall Manager at New Plan Excel Realty Trust. Most recently, they have been working at CarePoint Health as the Chief Operating Officer since 2019. Additionally, they have also held the role of Chief Executive Officer at Emergency Physicians Integrated Care, LLC.

Robert Parker attended the United States Naval Academy from 1976 to 1978, where they studied International Relations and Affairs. Robert then transferred to Arizona State University from 1978 to 1980, where they pursued a Bachelor of Architecture degree. Afterward, from 1981 to 1984, they attended Brigham Young University, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Operations and Systems Analysis. Finally, from 1984 to 1986, they attended Yale University School of Medicine, where they obtained a Master of Public Health degree with a specialization in Hospital and Health Care Facilities Administration/Management.
