Anna Cowan

Anna Cowan is an experienced policy and external affairs professional with a strong background in advocacy and campaigning. Currently serving as a Policy and External Affairs Officer (Education) at Carers Trust, Anna is also the Events Lead for Women in Public Affairs (WiPA) Scotland, where involvement includes planning key events. As a co-founder of Girls Against, a campaign addressing sexual violence in live music, responsibilities include team management and social media management. Previous roles include Policy and Campaigns Officer at Waverley Care, Campaign Coordinator for Back Off Scotland, and Policy and Public Affairs Officer at ASH Scotland. Educationally, Anna holds a degree in Sociology and Politics from The University of Edinburgh and has pursued further studies in Realising Rights in Practice at Glasgow Caledonian University, along with a study year abroad at The University of British Columbia.
