Terry J. Woychowski

President, Automotive at Caresoft Global

​Terry Woychowski began his career with General Motors immediately upon graduation from Michigan Technological University (MTU) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1978. Terry had a very active and successful career at GM, where he served for 12 years as the Full-Size Truck Vehicle Chief Engineer, a product that won numerous prestigious industry awards. He went on to serve as the Global Vice President of Program Management, responsible for the program management Vehicle Line Executives and Vehicle Chief Engineers of all GM programs around the world, and later became the Global Vice President of Quality and Vehicle Launch.

He retired from General Motors in 2012, where he later accepted the position as Senior Vice President of Engineering and Quality at American Axle and Manufacturing. He is currently the VP of Advanced Technology Development at LINK Engineering Company in Plymouth Michigan.

During his career, Terry has served on many boards including SGM in China, The Engineer Society of Detroit where he served as President. He has served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of MTU. He is a lifetime trustee of the Rackham Foundation

Terry has participated in several humanitarian missions to Albania and Kosovo following the Kosovo war and Haiti following the devastating earthquake there. Terry’s family charitable organization sponsored two MTU Senior Design Capstone projects to develop human-powered grain mills that were built and deployed in sub-Saharan regions of Africa.

Terry helped organize and execute an Advanced Propulsion training program at MTU to help retrain displaced engineers during the recession which was broadcast remotely to the Detroit area during this difficult time. Terry was the first recipient of the Michigan Tech Alumni Humanitarian Award in 2011 and he was inducted into the Academy of Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Mechanics in 2007.

​Terry attended the Duke University Fuqua School of Business Advanced Management Program and was presented with an Honorary Doctor of Business Management Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2003.

At Caresoft, Terry plays a strategic role in growing customer relationships, building next-gen solutions, and mentors the global leadership team.
