Damon Braggs was the Business Director in Cardiology at Washington University. In Damon’s role as Business Director, he provided financial management of the division in planning and developing operations, capital and personnel budgets, and staffing models. His role also included oversight of administrative responsibilities in patient billing, grant administration, purchasing, and payroll.
Before joining Washington University, Damon had over 20 years at St. Louis University as a Departmental Administrative in various departments spanning Otolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Neurology, and Internal Auditing Services. Damon is a highly experienced professional with a proven record of providing exceptional customer service to clients and internal staff in an academic and healthcare environment. He thrives on challenges, particularly those that expand the company’s reach. Damon is a past Lecturer of Organizational Management Issues for the Program in Physical Therapy at Washington University. In 2013, he was recognized with the Patty K. Scheets Award for Excellence in Physical Therapy Education. He is currently on faculty with the American Physical Therapy Association, teaching financial management at the Education Leadership Institute.
Damon holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Accounting) and an MBA from St. Louis University. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Information Management from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a lifelong resident of St. Louis, Missouri. Damon enjoys biking, hiking, and tutoring in his free time and is a part-time dance instructor.
