Senior Software Engineer at Careswitch

Spencer Strombotne started their career as a Software Development Intern at DELTA - Distance Education and Learning Technology Applications in 2008. In this role, they researched and developed interactive web technologies for education and conducted market and user research for virtual microscopy laboratory.

In 2011, they joined Deutsche Bank as a Software Developer and was responsible for maintaining the Autobahn Platform using Java, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS. Spencer successfully replaced the old front-end client and API server, resulting in a 40% increase in loading time and scaled the application to 150,000 clients.

From 2013 to 2014, Spencer worked at IBM as a Software Product Design Professional. Spencer was part of the team that opened the first IBM Design Studio in Austin, TX. Spencer worked on the UX design, wireframing, rapid prototyping, and coordination of API service providers for IBM Bluemix.

In 2014, Spencer co-founded Rappora, which was later acquired by Careswitch. As the Co-Founder & CTO, they focused on improving communication in home care agencies. Spencer led the development of solutions for client and caregiver retention, care coordination, and monitoring.

In 2019, Spencer joined ndustrial.io as a Senior Software Engineer, where they contributed to the development of software solutions.

Most recently, since November 2020, they have been working as a Senior Software Engineer at careswitch, where they continue to utilize their skills and expertise.

Spencer Strombotne obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University, completing their studies between 2007 and 2011.
