Alyssa Wilson is currently a Certified Nursing Assistant I at UNC Health, assisting patients in the float pool since August 2024. In addition, Alyssa serves as a Public Health Ambassador and Patient Care Assistant at CareYaya since October 2023. Previously, Alyssa held the position of Volunteer Coordinator with the Marching Tar Heels since April 2022 and worked as a Research Assistant at the UNC School of Medicine Re-Envisioning Health and Justice Lab from April to September 2022, focusing on data entry related to COVID-19 and mortality among incarcerated individuals. Alyssa also contributed as a Research Assistant at the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media in late 2021, tracking social media usage by police departments in North Carolina. A student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Alyssa is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Medical Anthropology and Music, with a minor in Conflict Management.
